This policy describes what data the Shopify app “Individual Quantity Tiers” processes when a merchant installs and uses it in their Shopify store. The app provides quantity-based tier pricing per product variant, display in the online store (theme block), and automatic application of the correct price in the cart via a Shopify cart function.
We process in particular: • Shop domain and installation-related identifiers • App settings, e.g. language in the admin UI, B2B exclusion setting, billing/plan status (via Shopify Billing) • Product configuration: variant IDs and tier pricing (minimum quantity, unit price) stored as Shopify metafields on products or variants • Shop metafields for app-wide settings (e.g. B2B exclusion), where set by the merchant • Import logs for CSV imports (e.g. file name, row count, success/errors, timestamp) in our database • OAuth session data from Shopify (including access token and, where provided by Shopify, name, email, and user ID of the logged-in shop staff member) • Optional support data in the admin when live chat is used (see section 5)
The app does not store order data or personal data of the store's end customers (buyers). Tier prices apply publicly per variant to all storefront visitors; no customer login is required. Theme block settings (e.g. enhanced display, progress bar, colors) are stored in the merchant's theme editor and not in our app database.
Processing is carried out to: • provide and operate the app (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) • store, display, and apply tier prices correctly at checkout (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) • ensure security, prevent abuse, and support error analysis (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) • respond to support requests when you contact us (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR)
• Shopify Inc. as the platform through which the app is installed and authenticated; metafields and shop data remain in the merchant's Shopify system • Fly.io for hosting the app and database (EU / Frankfurt region) • Crisp for optional live chat support in the admin. Shop domain, email/nickname of the logged-in user, and chat content may be transmitted to Crisp
The theme extension in the online store does not load external tracking scripts or third-party fonts; it uses CSS and JavaScript delivered by the app extension. To display the progress bar, the extension reads the quantity from the theme's product form locally in the browser without transmitting it to our servers.
Data is stored while the app is installed in the shop and retention is necessary for operation. After uninstallation or Shopify compliance webhooks (in particular shop/redact), we delete app data for that shop in our database (sessions, language preferences, import logs). Sessions and tokens are not kept longer than necessary. Metafields containing tier pricing data remain in the merchant's Shopify store until deleted by the merchant or removed by Shopify on uninstall (standard Shopify behavior). For customers/data_request and customers/redact we respond to Shopify requests; as we generally do not hold end-customer data in our database, additional exports are usually not required.
Where the GDPR applies, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
